Alerts & reports

Exporting your data

Export your alerts and results for reporting, sharing, or your own records.

Open in PatentSecure

Sometimes you need your findings outside PatentSecure — to share with a colleague, attach to a report, or keep for your records. The Export feature lets you download your alerts as a spreadsheet file in a couple of clicks.

How to export your alerts

  1. In the left menu, open Alerts.
  2. Optionally, set your filters and sorting first — for example, show only High Risk alerts, or a single technology area. The export includes exactly what your current view shows.
  3. Select Export.
  4. Your browser downloads a CSV file (named with the date, for example alerts-export-2026-06-02.csv).

Opening the file

A CSV file opens in any spreadsheet program — Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, and others. Each row is one alert, with columns for its key details so you can sort, filter, and share as you like.

A tip on filters

Because the export respects your active filters and sort order, it's an easy way to produce a focused list. For example:

  • Filter to High Risk + Unread to export just the items that need attention.
  • Filter by a single technology area or competitor to export everything related to one topic.
  • Sort by Filing Date or Confidence before exporting to get the order you want in the file.

Exporting your account data

The Export button covers your alert findings. If you instead want a copy of all your account data (for your own records or a data request), use the data export option in Settings — covered in the Privacy & security guide.

Tip: Set your filters before exporting. It's the quickest way to turn a focused view on screen into a ready-to-share file.
