Alerts

Alerts are the heart of your daily workflow. Each one is a patent that PatentSecure's AI has found and judged relevant to something you monitor. The Alerts page (titled Alert Findings) is where you review those matches, focus on what's important, and decide what to do.

What an alert contains

Every alert shows the patent's key facts — title, number, patent office, assignee, and date — together with the AI's verdict: a risk level (High, Medium, or Low) and a confidence score. Open an alert to read the full AI analysis, including the claim-by-claim breakdown (see the AI infringement analysis guide).

Reviewing your alerts

1. In the left menu, open Alerts.
2. Scan the list — high-risk matches are highlighted so they stand out.
3. Select any alert to open its full details and analysis.

Finding what you need

The Alerts page gives you several ways to focus:

• Search — type in Search alerts… to find alerts by keyword.
• Sort — order alerts by Recently Added, Filing Date, Risk Level, or Confidence.
• Filter — open Show Filters to narrow by:
  • Risk Level — High, Medium, or Low.
  • Status — Unread, Read, or Archived.
  • Source — whether the match came from your Technology Areas, Competitors, or Watchlist.
  • Country / patent office.
• Show Archived Alerts — bring previously archived alerts back into view when you need them.

Working through alerts

A simple routine works well: filter to High Risk and Unread first, review those closely, then move down to medium and low. Archive alerts you've handled to keep your list focused on what's new.

Alert rules

Use View Alert Rules to see the monitoring rules that generate your alerts — these come from the technology areas, competitors, and watchlist patents you've set up.

Alerts shown on this page are matches above the AI's relevance threshold. The most important ones are surfaced first, so you can act on real risks quickly.
